Troy, Alabama, Screening and Energy Forum Draws Crowd

On Tuesday, August 16th, PACE convened an Energy Forum in Troy, Alabama, to discuss concerns about current U.S. energy policy and to hear from members of the community and local business. The co-host for the event was the Alabama Agribusiness Council.

Unplugged Launches at Decatur Town Hall Event

Yesterday marked the official launch of Unplugged, which took place in Decatur, Alabama, at a PACE Town Hall meeting featuring U.S. Representative, Mo Brooks.

The event featured keynote remarks by Brooks, a screening of the documentary, and a panel discussion featuring Cameron Smith of the Alabama Policy Institute, TVA Chief Operating Officer Bill McCollum, Brian Avery of Nucor Steel Decatur, and Cline Jones of the Tennessee River Valley Association.

The event was covered by two area television stations during nightly newscasts, including this report from WAAY in Huntsville.

Pre-Screening of Unplugged Causes a Stir

As I sat patiently in a large conference auditorium in Pine Mountain, Georgia, listening to presentations on corporate sustainability and green building practices, I have to admit I was a little nervous about the first-ever public viewing of Unplugged.
